Final Commissioning & Startup

Due to the complexity and multitude of disciplines that encompass deepwater oil & gas developments, effective planning of strategic operations is imperative in order to achieve first oil in the safest and fastest way possible. In order to ensure a flawless initial startup, effective interfacing between key engineering areas is critical and must be maintained throughout the life of the project from the preliminary FEED phase to sustainable steady-state production.

In GATE's experience, major issues are often not detected until the initial startup of deepwater developments, causing deferred production and consequently many expensive changes. GATE gets involved early in the design process and applies a systems-wide engineering approach that negates many of the potential issues encountered during initial startups and so minimizes cost and schedule impacts.

Our initial startup planning involves incorporating the subsurface, subsea, and topsides aspects of the project, so eliminating any and all potential gaps.
