Gunnison Export Line |
The Gunnison field and production platform are located in approximately 3000ft of water in Garden Banks Block 668 of the Gulf of Mexico. A single phase 18" oil export pipeline owned and operated by Williams Pipeline transports produced dry crude oil from this location to a platform at Galveston Block A-244. This pipeline is approximately 100miles in length, including the initiation and termination risers.
| GATE, LLC were commissioned to undertake a flow assurance and corrosion risk assessment for the export line prior to commissioning. These risk assessments provided the basis for GATE, LLC to develop a flow assurance and asset integrity management program for the pipeline, incorporating chemical treatment strategy, pigging philosophy and monitoring and surveillance procedures. In a separate scope of work, GATE, LLC have also undertaken a study of potential surge and hammer events in the export line following events such as valve closures and pump trips. |
