Asset Details:

The Horn Mountain spar development is located in 5,400ft of water, approximately 100 miles southeast of New Orleans, in the Gulf of Mexico. This deep water field lies in Mississippi canyon blocks 126 and 127 and is a dry tree development and is situated in a water depth of 5400 feet.

Project Details:

GATE, LLC has supported the Horn Mountain Asset by:

• Trouble-shooting corrosion and materials problems encountered in day-to-day operation of topsides systems including:
  • Assessment of the corrosion of topsides control tubing with recommendations for remediation & replacement based upon a risk assessment and criticality review of various sub-systems.
  • Investigation, assessment and remediation of a number of corrosion issues in the seawater handling and injection system, including equipment such as seawater lift pumps, heat exchangers, vessels and fittings.
