Asset Details:

The Llano field development is located in the Gulf of Mexico and is operated by Shell Exploration and Production, Inc. The field is tied-back to Shells Auger platform and is located in Garden Banks Blocks 385 & 386 and has a water depth of 2800 ft. The field began production in April 2004. The pipelines and associated hardware were designed, engineered, installed & commissioned by Shell International Exploration & Production Inc - EP Projects.

Project Details:

GATE, LLC have been involved supporting the pipeline engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning including:

Cathodic Protection system design for the pipe-in-pipe flowlines and termination sleds, including potential attenuation analysis of the single pipe insulated steel caternary risers. Supported FBE pipe coating operations at Bayou Pipe. Field joint design for SCR including qualification of a thermal sprayed aluminum field applicator. Prepared Cathodic Protection survey procedure for commissioning activities.
